Do u have to stay on disney to use the magic bands? Have a time share and I am staying off disney but really want to use magic bands:)

Hello, Tyona! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

MagicBands are so much fun, I understand why you want to use them for your Walt Disney World Resort visit. Lots of colors, all the fun ways to accessorize them - it's a great way to show your DisneySide!

Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel will receive MagicBands for their whole party free with their reservation. But there's good news, Tyona! Even if you're staying offsite, you can get MagicBands to use in the Theme Parks, too. You can buy your MagicBands at most shops inside any of the four parks, or order them online from the Disney Store. Just choose your color, add some Magic BandIts or MagicSliders if you like, and have it all delivered right to your door. Once you have them, you'll find an ID number inside each band that you can use to link the band to your My Disney Experience account to use the bands for park entry and all those FastPass+ selections you're hopefully making!

Tyona, I hope this helps you enjoy the fun and function of Disney's MagicBands during your Walt Disney World vacation. Stop by again if we can help with your plans. It's what we do best!

    Have a magical day,

    Kathy K.

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
