Hi, Robert! Thank you for your great question,
I personally am a big fan of the complimentary Walt Disney World Resort bus transportation system. I enjoy being dropped off right at the doorstep to the Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks, Water Parks, and Downtown Disney Area (soon to be Disney Springs).
Your route to and from your destinations depends on where you are staying and where you are going. The routes also change from time to time to meet Guest needs. The suggested amount of travel time to allow is 90 minutes. This includes time spent waiting for your bus at your resort hotel. This is a very generous amount of time to allow, as it normally does not take this long - especially when traveling from your resort hotel to any of the Theme Parks. In my personal experiences, the routes have been direct more often than not. I have only had to make additional stops a handful of times. Most times, the multiple stop trips have been when transporting to the Downtown Disney Area and the Water Parks.
Depending on which Walt Disney World Resort hotel you are staying at, there may be additional options available to you as well. Some hotels offer Monorail and boat transportation options - which are pretty exciting for my boys! Explore the Walt Disney World Resort hotels online and view the amenities to see different transportation options that may be available to you.
If you wish to seek out alternative transportation options, you may wish to rent a car. There are many options available at Orlando International Airport or at the Car Care Center located near Magic Kingdom Park.
Have a magical day, Robert!
