If I stay at Disney Grand Floridian, can I use the pickleball court at one of the other Disney hotels?

Hiya, Michael! Welcome to planDisney and thanks for serving up such a great question.

Your Walt Disney World vacation is right around the corner! Woo hoo! I love that you’re looking at recreation opportunities at the Walt Disney World Resort hotels. Sometimes these get overlooked because of the amazing theme parks and water parks, but each resort has so much magic to offer.

I’m thrilled to share that guests of Walt Disney World Resort hotels can access the tennis courts and rent equipment at other resorts by using a MagicBand or a valid Resort ID. Disney Vacation Club members may check out equipment free of charge, while other guests can rent equipment for a fee. The following resorts have pickleball equipment for rent.

    - Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort
    - Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village
    - Disney’s Boardwalk Inn and Villas
    - The Campsites and Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort
    - Disney’s Old Key West Resort
    - Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
    - Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts

Additional information about courts and rental locations can be found here. You can also search “tennis” on the My Disney Experience mobile app and see a map of all the tennis court locations (just click “find on map”). If you need directions to any of the courts, just tap “Get Directions” and select your desired court. If you are staying at the Grand Floridan Resort, the closest court is located at the Contemporary Resort, which is a 30-minute walk or 24-minute monorail ride away (travel times and transportation availability subject to change).

Michael, I hope this information was helpful and that you have a great time working on your backhand while visiting the Vacation Kingdom. Pop right back to planDisney if you have any other questions. We’re always happy to help!

    Game, set, match!
