Hi Sara! Camping at Walt Disney World will be a wonderful experience. I wish we had known about Fort Wilderness when we were younger and camping as it is one of the best places we have ever seen to set up a tent and enjoy the outdoors.
Disney can provide a tent for a cost but it is generally only if the group camping area is not needing them and it is on a first come basis. They are sturdy but basic and now days you can find some great tents with screens and other perks at sporting goods stores. I suggest you bring your own for your vacation.
The tent sites include water, cable, and electric. Each site has a post with plugs and spouts. You will also have a picnic table for your use. I suggest you bring either cots or air mattresses for your sleeping comfort. If it is during the hotter weather times then consider bringing a fan as well. Coolers are a must to keep your food safe and secure from little creatures who might want to share. Grilling needs including charcoal will be a must but you can purchase those at the Trading Post if you don't want to travel with it. Definitely pack some good lighting whether they are lanterns or strong flashlights too.
Basic camping gear such as umbrellas and ponchos, cooking utensils and pots, plenty of casual clothes, a couple of folding chairs, and laundry needs. The tent loops will have two comfort stations that will provide laundry facilities, ice machines, showers and toilets. They are extremely clean and convenient.
Check out all the great amenities for the
Fort Wilderness Campgrounds. It is one of my favorite places to stay and there is so much to see and do right there at the resort. Have a wonderful camping vacation!
