Want to stay at a Deluxe Resort. Want to use monotrail. I would like a good pool for my 10 and 7 year olds. Which resort should I choose. This is our first trip.

Hi Kristie - there are three hotels on the monorail - the Polynesian, the Contemporary, and the Grand Floridian.  While the Grand Floridian is the most elegant of the resorts, in my opinion, it's less kid-friendly than the others (although it is still kid-friendly).

The Contemporary is beautiful, and you can walk right to the Magic Kingdom which is so convenient.   I always thought the tower would be rather loud since the monorail runs through it, but it really isn't.  The standard rooms are the largest on property, and the pool area is wonderful.  The only real question would be the theming - it's a little more modern looking than the other Disney resorts so your kids may not like it as much.

When we want to stay on the monorail loop, my family chooses the Polynesian.  The theme is lots of fun for kids and the main pool very kid-friendly.  Rooms are rather large, and the resort is super-convenient because you can also walk to the Ticket and Transportation Center to get a direct monorail to Epcot.

If I were you, I'd probably choose the Polynesian!  But you can't go wrong with any of the resorts!

    Have a great vacation!
