We want to stay at the Contempory (will be our 1st time there) we can travel in Oct or Nov (not thanskgiving) Which time is less crowded? Which time (one weekend day )might be less expensive?

The Contemporary is a great resort choice, Stephanie.  I love the modern, spacious rooms there, as well as the convenience of the monorail.  As for a trip this fall, as long as you avoid both Columbus Day weekend and the Thanksgiving holiday period, crowds will likely be about the same during both October and November.  Same advice holds true to avoid holiday surcharges on room rates; avoiding Columbus Day weekend and Thanksgiving will put you in the regular season rates.  You could save significantly if you hold out until the end of November.  Value season runs begins on 11/28!
