I would like to stay at the Contemporary Resort in the tower with a view, hovever, I have heard that the monorail noise and motion is unbearable! I am sure that you can hear and feel some of it but it can not be that bad- can it?

    Hi Marion!

When we stayed at the Contemporary, we had a Magic Kingdom view and were just a few floors above the monorail.  I never noticed the monorail until I actually went out the door and looked down at it.  In fact between the magical views outside our balcony of not only the Magic Kingdom but also the Seven Seas Lagoon, the Polynesian and the Grand Floridian and then the amazement of seeing of the monorail running through the resort, I was always in a state of awe.

To lend to more magic, the rooms and concourse area at the Contemporary have been recently renovated, so it has a new sparkle to it!  Also, there is a new restaurant called The Wave which features some yummy health-conscious selections.

I should let you know that there is some construction going on to the north of the Contemporary as well as some within it, so there could be some rooms that may hear some of that noise.
