We stay at the Caribbean Beach on first night and then transfer to Beach Club to start package with DDP. Do we need to go to BC to check in before DDP is activated or can we go straight to the parks on the second day?

Hello Deirdre! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

While changing Walt Disney World Resort Hotels mid-vacation allows you to double your Endlessly Magical themed fun at your "home-away-from-home", it can cause a few logistical hurdles that need to be cleared to ensure a smooth transition.

One of the benefits of staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel is the ability to maximize the Online Resort Check-In Service up to 60 days in advance of your vacation. By doing so, not only will you expedite the Check-In process upon your arrival, but any elements of your vacation that require activation, such as the Disney Dining Plans, should be set to go on that first day.

This means that you can have your baggage arranged for delivery to Disney's Beach Club Resort by bell services on the morning of your transition and head off to the Theme Parks with your Disney Dining Plan reading to go.

While at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, I recommend that you speak to Guest Services about your transition. They will be able to double check on their end to ensure that your Online Resort Check-In has activated your Disney Dining Plan.

    Have a Magical Visit!
