If we stay at Beach or Yacht Club do we need to purchase a park hopper pass just to walk through Epcot to get to the monorail? We would like to eat at restaurants in Contemporary, Grand Floridian, or Polynesian. Don't want to take buses then transfer.

Hi Jeff! Unfortunately, I will have to tell you that you would indeed need to use a park ticket to enter Epcot even if you are only wanting to walk through to the main entrance and monorail station. Disney has no control of what a guest would want to do once they enter so a park ticket is required for all guests and at all entrances.

We often stay at these resorts and have found dining at other locations is fairly easy when talking about transportation. For the three resorts you mentioned we will take the Magic Kingdom bus and then transfer to the monorails or boats. If we are rushed and don't have the extra time to make transferring we simply take a taxi. This is definitely the quickest way to get there. The walk through Epcot is quite long plus certainly not worth buying a park ticket to do just that.  When getting on the monorail at Epcot you would still need to get off and transfer to another monorail that reaches the resorts so you can't avoid some sort of transfer no matter what way you go unless it is by taxi.

Hope this helps with your planning and let us know what else we can do to assist you for your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation!
