Stay at Art of Animation with 7mo February 2016. Due to $$ need standard room. How equipped for a baby? Microwave, fridge, cot, sterilizing bottles etc. Can we book any of these? How best to make it work. (most popular in USA for sterilizing bottles?)

    Hello Ariane,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

As a fellow international traveller, one who has travelled with a baby, I can understand wanting to know about the amenities that will be available in your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel room.  The good news? Each room is equipped with a refrigerator and a crib (usually a Graco Pack ’n Play) is available upon request. Make sure to note the fact that you would like one when you make your reservation and at check-in.

Unfortunately, standard rooms at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort are not equipped with microwaves, and I don’t believe you can request them either. My fellow panelist Brandy confirms, however, that there are microwaves (and toasters) available at the Landscape of Flavors.

Finally, one service that I have found to be a life saver when we travel to the United States (especially when we’ve cruised with Disney Cruise Line) has been Babies Travel Lite. You can order all kinds of baby/toddler/vacation supplies through them, including diapers, wipes, sunscreen, soap, bottles, and, yes, sterilizers. Although you’re paying a bit of a premium for getting these items delivered straight to your Resort Hotel, I find the price is well worth the convenience of not having to lug a ton of baby paraphernalia around with us. Plus, as a Canadian, I don’t find the prices to be that different from the ones I pay back home!! You can find their website at www.babiestravellite.com.

Happy planning and have a Magical Day!

Hi, I’m Lynne from Montreal, Quebec, Canada! I’m a working mom who enjoys snuggles with my son and my husband, who has been my sweetheart since 1997. We’ve been lucky enough to experience several milestones in Walt Disney World, including our wedding and honeymoon in 2009. As Disney Vacation Club members, we often plan trips for large, and sometimes even multi-generational, groups to come and enjoy the fun with us. Learn More About Lynne
