Hi! We are going to stay at animal kingdom lodge on our next visit. We are staying in a Sahara room. Which view would be best for our 1st visit there? And are there high floors and low floors? What would you recommend? Thank you!!

    Jambo, Geraldine,

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is an amazing resort.  The African-themed decor and art in the resort are incredible; it is unlike anything I'm familiar with in the United States.  We have never had a visit to Walt Disney World that didn't include a visit to this resort!  I highly recommend all of the restaurants at the resort, too.

Our favorite Savanna View rooms are those on the Zebra Trail that overlook the Arusha Savanna, and we prefer the lower floors as they are closer to the animals.  To get an idea of what the views actually are, I'd encourage you to visit the independent website TouringPlans.com and search for View of Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge - Jambo House.  This will allow you to see how different the views can be and decide which you prefer.

By the way, I have some exciting news that you may not have heard yet.  Rivers of Light is officially opening February 17, 2017, so you'll be able to enjoy this new attraction when you visit Disney's Animal Kingdom!
