Hi we want to stay in Animal Kingdom Lodge for 6 days it says sleeps 4 adults, we are 4 adults and a child (8) but my husband is only staying for the first 3 days, is there an extra fee for that 5th guest or 5th guest not acceptable in the room? Thank you!

    Jambo, Aimee!

Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for bringing us your question about your upcoming stay at the Walt Disney World Resort. I'm excited to hear that you're planning on staying at a Disney Resort hotel. There's nothing quite like waking up in The Most Magical Place on Earth! I'm happy to assist you in finding the perfect accommodations for your party.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of my favorite Deluxe Disney Resort hotels because of its uniqueness. (Where else in the United States can you view exotic African animals from the balcony of your Resort hotel room!?) Aimee, for Standard View, Savannah View, and Pool View rooms at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, the maximum occupancy is up to four adults plus an infant. For these room types, adding a fifth Guest is not an option. However, Hakuna Matata - it means "no worries!" At Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, there's a multitude of room types available to Guests. Have you considered booking a 1 Bedroom Villa? These accommodations are available at both Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo House and Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village and sleep up to five adults. With a 1 Bedroom Villa, you'll have all of the conveniences of home, like a fully-equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, and a washer and dryer - right in your room! Plus, the 1 Bedroom Villa will give your group plenty of extra space during your stay. Aimee, one thing to note is that Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village will be undergoing refurbishment through September 2023. You may see or hear construction taking place at the Resort hotel during this time.

I hope that you have found this information helpful as you continue to plan your fun-filled visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth, Aimee. I'm wishing you and your group of explorers a wild time! If you have any additional planning questions, please feel free to revisit us at planDisney - we're here to help you make the most of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

    Adventure awaits,
