Hello! If we stay at Animal Kingdom and buy merch at Magic Kingdom, is there a service to have the merch taken to our rooms for us?

Hi there, Tara, and thanks for stopping by planDisney! As a self-proclaimed Walt Disney World shopaholic, you can always count on me for support in your shopping endeavors!

It's no secret that Disney World is FULL of fantastic merchandise. But for me, there's something extra special about perusing the shelves of the Emporium and Uptown Jewelers as I stroll down Main Street U.S.A. Over and over again, I try and miserably fail to leave Magic Kingdom Park without a massive Disney haul (and yes, my wallet is weeping)!

Tara, it sounds like we share a love of magical souvenirs, so I deliver this news with regret: Disney World does not currently offer a park-to-resort merchandise delivery service. I know this wasn't the news you were hoping to hear, but over the years, I've discovered a few tricks to support my own Disney World shopping habits, and I'm more than happy to share!

First off, you should know that merchandise delivery is not totally off the table in Disney World. While Disney won't deliver your purchases to your room at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, they will deliver them straight to your home! Yes, you'll be charged for shipping, but this is still a solid option, especially for large or bulky items that are a pain to carry around all day (or might not fit in your luggage!).

Now, if I know I have bulky items on my shopping list but don't want to ship them home, my second strategy is to rent a locker for a small fee. These come in three sizes (small, large, and jumbo), and are the perfect place to stash my goods while I play in the parks all day. At Magic Kingdom, you'll find the lockers just inside the park entrance on your right-hand side.

If I'm only shopping for smaller items, then things are even easier! I just bring a roomy, mostly empty park bag that I can use to carry smaller purchases. This works well for items like Minnie ears, small plushes, mugs, jewelry, or really anything else I can squeeze in there!

Tara, I hope this information is helpful and that you enjoy some magical retail therapy on your upcoming stay in Walt Disney World (because we both know you deserve it!). If you have any other planning questions, you know where to find us right here at planDisney!

    See ya real soon,

    Allison
