Hey there, Heidi! I'm excited to see that you have a vacation planned to Walt Disney World in December. It's one of the best months to go in my opinion. Everything is decorated for the holidays and it's so festive and fun. You are going to love it.
Disney's All-Star Sports Resort is a great resort to stay at, especially on a budget which always has me cheering! You've got access to a lot of great amenities like
complimentary transportation to and from Disney's All-Star Sports Resort to the Walt Disney World Theme Parks. There are several different forms of transportation at Walt Disney World but from this resort, your transportation option is going to be the
complimentary bus. Busses to the theme parks start running about 45 minutes to 1-hour prior to that specific park opening and run up to two hours after each park closes in the evenings. Right now, due to Covid, they are not filling the busses as full as they normally would. I would give yourself some extra time, especially in the mornings, to get to your destination because of this.
A little tip from me - if you'd like a room that is in a nice location close to the bus stop and food court area with minimal walking, I suggest either the Surfs up building or the Touchdown Building. This is my preference when staying there. However, if you'd like a quiet spot maybe the Center Court Building or the Hoops Hotel would be better for you. Room requests like this are not guaranteed but they do try their best to accommodate if possible.
I hope you enjoy your vacation later this year. If you need help planning anything else, please feel free to reach back out to me and
ask. I'm happy to help and love the holidays at Walt Disney World.
