Welcome back to planDisney! With your sailing just about one month away, it looks like you’re putting the finishing touches on your packing list for what I can only guess is a
Halloween on the High Seas adventure. Let’s see if we can make that suitcase a little lighter!
The great news is that each stateroom comes stocked with
shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower, and you’ll usually find hand wash in the stateroom as well. Having those products already waiting for you means you can leave the full-sized bottles at home and save some valuable suitcase space. After all, I’d much rather use that extra room for souvenirs than have my toiletries taking up half the suitcase like one of Ursula’s poor unfortunate souls!
Everyone in my crew really likes the products Disney uses onboard, which can sometimes be the tricky part when I’m trying to make sure it’s something my wife will like. In our case, I don’t have to worry because she wishes she could bring home her own supply! Of course, if you or anyone in your crew is particular about the products you use, I’d still recommend bringing your favorites along. Even Lightning McQueen knows there’s something to be said for sticking with the right formula!
And since we’re talking about things you can cross off
the packing list, you can leave the towels at home too. You’ll be covered throughout your sailing whether you’re showering in your stateroom, relaxing on the pool deck, or heading ashore on a
Port Adventure. Towels will be available when you need them, including for adventures off the ship. Just remember that any towels that head ashore with you need to find their way back onboard afterward. Unlike Nemo, Disney would prefer that those towels don’t get lost somewhere out in the big blue!
I hope this helps you trim a few things from your packing list and leaves some extra room in the suitcase for whatever treasures you discover during your Halloween adventure. With the shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and towels already handled, that’s a few less things standing between you and setting sail!
