We are out of state residents. If we book a room at a Disney Hotel, will we be able to purchase tickets for admission as a hotel guest, non California resident.

    Hi Sherman,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for sending us your great question.  Much like you, I have been patiently waiting to begin planning my visit to Disneyland Resort, and I can't wait to walk through the majestic doors of Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa as soon as possible.

As of right now, Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will begin welcoming in state guests as of April 29, 2021.  Given the current guidelines, out of state and international guests like us will have to wait a little longer to get back to the magic.  Even if we were able to book a stay at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, we would not be eligible to enter a Theme Park, as both are linked to our address.  I would continue to watch the Disney Parks Blog as well as the official Disneyland Resort website for more information regarding when out of state guests will be able to book a stay at a Disney Hotel and make Theme Park Reservations.

Once guidelines change and we are able to visit Disneyland Resort as out of state and international guests, we will also be required to make a Theme Park Reservation for every day you would like to visit a Theme Park. This change was implemented with the phased reopening of Disneyland Resort to help manage capacity and allow for physical distancing.  Once your Theme Park Tickets or Disneyland Resort Hotel Reservation are linked to your Disney Account all you need to do is follow a few steps to complete the process.
    1. Sign in to your Disney Account.
    2. Create your party by linking Theme Park Ticket Numbers for every guest visiting with you. You may also need to enter the name associated with each Theme Park Ticket.
    3. Choose the date and Theme Park you wish to visit.  If you have the Park Hopper Option, you will be able to visit the other Theme Park after 1:00, if there is availability.
    4. Review and confirm your reservation.  Here you will need to provide an email in order to receive your confirmation, including a QR code that will be needed upon entry along with your Theme Park Ticket.

I hope this information helps, Sherman.  I wish I had better news to share, but with a little "Faith Trust and Pixie Dust" out of state and international guests will be able to visit the Happiest Place on Earth soon!
