Charlotte from OH Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Do out of state first responders receive a discount? Do people over the age of 55 also get a discount?

    Hello, Charlotte!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney. It looks like you are planning a spring trip to Disneyland Resort, which is a great season to visit the theme parks!

You can find current promotions on the Offers & Discounts page, including offers for Anaheim residents and eligible U.S. military members. I don't see any deals aimed at first responders or Guests over 55 years old at this time. I'm sorry! However, keep checking the Offers & Discounts page, as new promotions are typically added throughout the year.

As you begin planning your trip, I suggest choosing your hotel first. Since spring break is a popular time to visit Disneyland, booking early may help ensure your preferred room type and hotel are available.

There are three hotels at Disneyland, including the Disneyland Hotel, Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, and Pixar Place Hotel. The Grand Californian is my favorite, although I also love the Disneyland history found throughout the Disneyland Hotel. Pixar Place Hotel is a great option for fans of Pixar films (plus, you might get to say hello to Bing Bong during your stay!). Additionally, there are plenty of Good Neighbor Hotels within walking distance. If new offers are released after booking, try calling the "Hotel Reservations" line right away to ask about applying the new rates to your existing reservation. I have been able to do this a few times!

Guests currently need both park tickets and reservations to enter a theme park. I recommend purchasing a 3-day ticket to give you plenty of time to explore both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. I also hope the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival takes place during your visit! It normally occurs in the spring and includes tasty bites and beverages, plus cooking and wine seminars are often available for an additional cost. It is one of my favorite events at Disneyland!

Charlotte, I know this wasn't the news you were looking for, but I hope your visit to Disneyland is filled with magic, sunshine, and fun! If you have more questions, please send them to planDisney.

    Magic Happens!
