We are starting to think about another trip!! We are a family of 5 (3 adults, 2 kids) we bring grandma with us. Last time we had adjoining rooms but two reservation numbers. we are looking for one big room/suite, where is the best place to stay?

Welcome Foolish Mortals and thanks for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so excited to hEAR about the early planning stages of your trip Jenny, especially since you are looking for a Disney Resort Hotel.

Most of the time we are a family of 5 as well, sometimes 6, when we convince both of my younger sisters to join us. I always tend to recommend my personal favorite, which are the Family Suites at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. The Family Suites are incredibly themed, they sleep 6 adults and include 2 bathrooms, so there’s plenty of room for your family to spread out. There are also Family Suites available at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort as well! They also sleep 6 adults and include 2 bathrooms however, the rooms there are a bit smaller and not as themed as the Family Suites at Disney’s Art of Animation.

I always go back to Disney’s Art of Animation because it is just what my family needs. I would consider what your family enjoys doing when visiting before selecting where you want to stay. For example, my family stays in the parks from open to close everyday! So we usually choose a Value Resort Hotel because we personally don’t need many amenities. Plus between The Big Blue Pool, which is the largest Resort Pool, the larger than life Characters that stand tall at each section, and the Landscape of Flavors dining option, we find that that is plenty for us. Not to mention the newly added Disney Skyliner that can transport my family to and from Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the International Gateway at Epcot, I can’t imagine staying anywhere else!

My fellow panelist, Sarah, also comes from a large family and has included some of her favorite places to stay when she visits Walt Disney World Resort! Make sure to check out her recommendations out as well!

I hope this helps you find your perfect Disney Resort Hotel and thanks for stopping by Jenny!

Meet the Panelist: Shantel, Alabama

Hi ya Pals! I'm Shantel, an Army wife and mom of two. I grew up going to the parks, and now we're sharing that tradition with our kids. When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip. One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for! I cannot wait to answer your questions and help make your vacation even more magical!
