Starting to think about December 2011. Arriving 12/19 so MVMCP is over. Would we be able to see the Christmas parade and Holiday Wishes while we were there? What about the holiday castle forecourt show? Thanks for your help. Planning is half the fun!

    Hi Jennifer,

A girl after my own heart, already in the planning stages of a trip almost 12 months away!

My family spent Christmas and New Year at Walt Disney World for the very first time just a few weeks ago and I can honestly say that seeing Cinderella's Castle all lit up and twinkling away was something which I will never forget. It was absolutely breathtaking!

Worry not, you will certainly be able to see all of the Christmas Parades and Shows during your stay.

When the final Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party has taken place, Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade will replace the parade which is normally shown at 3pm each day at Magic Kingdom Park (currently Celebrate A Dream Come True Parade) for the holiday period.

Likewise, Holiday Wishes will replace the normal Wishes fireworks and the Castle Forecourt Stage show will also take place.

Be sure to check the Park Calendars on the Walt Disney World Website around June 2011 for more information.

Have fun with the rest of your planning and be sure to come visit us again if we can be of any further assistance.

    Wishing you a magical holiday!
