HI Craig,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for sending us your question about transportation throughout Walt Disney World Resort. My family and I love staying at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter, we love the quaint feel of the resort, it is so beautiful!

Walt Disney World Resort offers complimentary transportation throughout the property for guests. Your best bet would be to take the bus to Magic Kingdom and then either walk or enjoy a quick ride on the Resort Monorail Line to arrive at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Transportation typically begins 45 minutes prior to Theme Park opening. If you would like to arrive earlier, I suggest booking your favorite ride share option, or a Cast Member at the front of your resort will be able to assist with calling a taxi. Personally, when we are booking an early morning Advanced Dining Reservation, I prefer to use my own transportation, I find it takes the uncertainty out of planning.
