Hello, starting to plan 2016. This year (SEPT) we are at Boardwalk. 2016 we will be downgrading to a Moderate resort - hoping to utilizing the Bounce back again. What is the difference between PO Riverside & PO French Quarter? Thank you very much.

    Hi Richard,

My family stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter on our first family vacation to Walt Disney World - it's a great resort. Port Orleans - Riverside is a fantastic resort as well.

I find the French Quarter to be more quiet. It's a smaller resort, and is more quaint. Riverside is busier and larger. The themes are different too, and Port Orleans - Riverside offers the Royal Guest Rooms which are great for families with young children.

Regardless of which resort you choose, I definitely recommend heading to the Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory (the food court at Port Orleans - French Quarter), for some beignets.

    Have a great vacation!
