We are just starting to plan a trip to Disneyland in May, and just noticed the Tinkerbell Marathon weekend falls right in the middle of the dates we were looking to go. Does the park tend to be busiest the week BEFORE, or AFTER a run weekend?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Heidi. I'm so glad you've stopped by.

I checked with Lori L., my fellow Panelist who's a runDisney specialist. Historically, the days leading up to a runDisney race are usually more crowded than afterwards. Participants are arriving to Disneyland Resort on various days, and getting there in time for the runDisney Health and Fitness Expo. Race number, shirt, and a gEAR bag are picked up at the Expo, and many Guests tend to arrive early to purchase official runDisney merchandise. With the race weekend culminating with a Half Marathon early Sunday morning, most race participants leave later that day or by Monday.

I hope this information is helpful for you as you continue to plan your magical vacation to the Happiest Place on Earth, Heidi. Please visit us on the Panel again if you have more questions.

    Sending you Pixie Dust,

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes or Disney Cruise Line voyages with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
