Hey, Cassidy! I love whenever I get the chance to help one of my Colorado neighbors plan a magical trip to the Disneyland Resort!
When you first arrive, stop by City Hall in Disneyland Park to pick up a complimentary birthday button for your daughter. Next, plan a special meal on your daughter’s big day. I think character meals are super fun for birthdays and my two favorites are the Minnie and Friends Breakfast in the Park at the Plaza Inn or dinner at Goofy’s Kitchen. You can even order a
birthday cake to be delivered to your table by calling (714) 781-3463 up to 60 days in advance. They may even be able to make a smaller version just for your 1-year-old to devour.
When it comes to touring the parks with a little one, you will want to start your days early and plan nap time in each day. You can exit and re-enter the parks as many times as you need during the day and taking breaks are key to keeping your little one from becoming overstimulated. Also, take advantage of the
Baby Care Centers in the parks to change diapers or rock your child to sleep. They are wonderfully comfortable places to refresh with your young one.
As a special memento for mom and dad, stop into the
Silhouette Studio on Main Street, U.S.A. They can make a darling silhouette of your daughter in just a few minutes and you will leave the parks with a truly unique keepsake. The one I have from my daughter’s first visit continues to be my most treasured souvenir.
Finally, if you have any other questions, please visit us again. We would love to help you continue to plan your adventure!
