Hi Emily,
Hello again, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Walt Disney World vacations are magical whirlwinds of excitement, amazement, stimulation, imagination, and lots and lots of movement (oh, and sugar). When my family gets back to our resort after a park day, we all feel like we’ve eaten Snow White’s apple, and are ready for a long, long sleep. When my son was a baby, our tired selves would be tucked into bed and we’d see his little outline standing in his Pack ‘n Play and we’d hear him say “I see Mickey.” It was the sweetest moment…and completely exhausting. So I hear you on the comfy mattress and need to make sure sleep comes as easily as possible.
Unfortunately, a
crib request cannot be guaranteed because of limited inventory. I recommend adding the request to your reservation by calling (407) 939-1936; the room assigners really do want to help ensure your family’s comfort and enjoyment of the resort. I did a quick online search, and there are rental companies in Orlando that will deliver cribs with mattresses and bedding to your resort, so that’s an option you might want to explore. I’ve been a happy customer of Kingdom Strollers for years, though we’ve never rented a crib from there.
If you do decide to mail a mattress pad, you’ll be able to mail it home from any resort with an on-site business center, including Disney’s Contemporary Resort or Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. The Walt Disney World
Mail Services web page has lots of good information if you choose to pursue this option.
Have so much fun planning and Disney dreaming, Emily! Please come back and see us if you have any more questions.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
