Hello! starting to plan our first trip with out toddler. For LL passes, if we book rides for specific times, and we end up missing our time bc our toddler is napping, we are eating, or taking a break - can we rebook the rides again for a later time?

Hello Jennifer, and welcome to planDisney!

How exciting that you're planning a visit to Walt Disney World with your little Mouseketeer. There's so much wonder to experience through their eyes! You're going to make some magical memories you will always cherish. Some of my favorite Disney vacation moments when my kids were toddlers was when they'd meet Disney characters they recognized. My fellow panelist Kaitlin has some great tips to share on character meet and greets with your little one... be sure to check it out, and learn where to find your favorites!

When you make a Lightning Lane Pass reservation, you select a one hour time frame. You just need to be able to tap in at the Lightning Lane entrance before your reservation time ends. If you miss it by just a few minutes, it's worth asking the Cast Members at the entrance. Depending on crowd conditions, they often can extend a grace period and still allow you to enter the attraction's Lightning Lane.

If for some reason you are unable to use your Lightning Lane, you can make adjustments from inside the My Disney Experience app to another time or attraction. The only caveat is that your rebooking will be based on remaining Lightning Lane availability for that day. There are a set number of passes available each day, and the more popular attractions often sell out by midday. It will reach a point where there are no other remaining Lightning Lane passes available for the day. So the earlier you are able to make a needed change, the better your chances will be.

My tip when purchasing a Lightning Lane Multi Pass is to try and make your three selections for earlier in the day. This will give you some "wiggle room" if you need to make a change, and select a different time or attraction for later on. Also, as soon as you tap in to that first attraction for the day, you can immediately hop on the My Disney Experience app and reserve another Lightning Lane. And these additional, same day passes have no tier restrictions. It's a great way to maximize the value of your Multi Pass, and save time in line!

Jennifer, I hope this helps. Please feel free to send me another message at planDisney if I can answer any additional questions, or offer recommendations for your trip. Have a wonderful time at Walt Disney World!

    Sending pixie-dust,
    Tami
