We are just starting to plan our 2nd family trip to Disney world for Fall/winter 2013. I am having a hard time deciding if we want to come for Halloween and MNSSHP or in Nov. for MVMCP. I am just looking for your recommendation, if you had to pick one?

I can see why you're having a tough time with that decision, Amanda.  That is a tough choice.  If it were me, I think I'd be more swayed by a trip timed to allow for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.  Having been to both the Halloween and Christmas parties, my preference is for the Halloween one.  Somehow, it just conveys a more festive atmosphere to me, though the Christmas events around Disney are definitely fun to experience, too.  That said, I just love the parade and fireworks that are exclusive to the Halloween Party.  And trick-or-treating around the Magic Kingdom is hard to beat.  Additionally, a visit during early fall might also allow you to visit the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival.

    Good luck with your decision!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
