Ahoy, Laura, and welcome to planDisney! I love that you're looking to experience
Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. It's a truly special destination, and I'm happy to show you how to discover the cruises that can get you there!
The Disney Cruise Line website has a
handy search tool that lets you filter itineraries by date, destination, port of departure, ship, and more. Click on "Sailing to" and then click on "Lighthouse Point" under "Disney's Island Destinations." You can also click on "Leaving" to select the months in 2027 that you're most interested in sailing. Once you've applied all the filters relevant to your trip, click "View Dates" to see all the results. You can continue to adjust the search tool above the results to broaden or narrow down the list. If you see an itinerary you like, click the "Show Dates" button to see a list of departures.
I just followed this process to explore the options, and there are quite a few cruises that could work for you! Here are some additional considerations you can make when deciding on the ideal itinerary:
- Do you prefer a shorter or longer cruise? Options range from three nights to seven or more.
- Might you want to stop at both of Disney's private islands? If so, look for sailings that include Disney Castaway Cay. Each island offers a unique experience and is fun in its own right, so I like the option of going to both if possible.
- Are you interested in a themed sailing? This adds an extra layer of fun to a cruise, with special entertainment, activities, and more. The Very Merrytime cruises are especially festive if you're looking to go around the holidays.
- Is there a ship you're dreaming of experiencing? While they all have themed dining, Broadway-style shows, great amenities, and more in common, you'll notice differences in the theming and size depending on which class of ship you choose.
Once your cruise is booked, you can start shopping for
onboard gifts. My family always orders a bottle of Cloudem Blue, a non-alcoholic drink with a beautiful color and enchanting sparkles. You can even arrange for it to be delivered during dinner! For our next cruise, I ordered cupcakes for my kids – this sweet surprise will be waiting in our stateroom.
Laura, please reach out if you think of any other questions as you continue planning. I'm sure I speak for all of the planDisney panelists when I say we'd love to help make this cruise with your daughters memorable in the best way.
Your pal,
Kriss
