Starting day at AK then hopping to Epcot and then MK. If I get our first LL for MK (8am open) to modify for later that night but want to get my 2nd LL at Epcot (9am open) will I be able to at 10 or will it make me wait til 11:00? Thank you!

Hey Howdy Hey, Jennifer! Thanks for hopping back over to planDisney with your question!

As an avid park hopper myself, it sounds like you have such a fun, magical day planned! My husband just let me plan my 'Perfect Disney Day' for my birthday, and it involved stops at Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, and Disney's Hollywood Studios for all of my favorites. Because our trip fell during the Spring Break window, we relied heavily on Disney Genie+ service to maximize our magic and minimize waits, so I'm happy to help you do the same!

While Walt Disney World's official policy states that Guests can expect to obtain 2 to 3 Lightning Lane entrances using Disney Genie+, in my experience an early start combined with a bit of planning and persistence in the My Disney Experience mobile app can result in twice that number. Regardless of which theme park is your first destination, you'll be able to make your first Lightning Lane selection at 7 AM. From there, you will be eligible to make your second selection either once your first selection has been redeemed or when your desired theme park for your second selection opens for the day, whichever comes first. According to your stated plans, this means you would not be eligible to make a selection for EPCOT until 11 am even though you made your first selection in a park that opened earlier. As a friendly reminder, you will need to purchase the 'Multiple Parks' Disney Genie+ option to be eligible to reserve Lightning Lane entrances as you park hop throughout the day.

While this is likely not what you were hoping to hear, as long as you prioritize your 'must-do' attractions, you can still make the most of your Genie+. We recently experienced something similar with a later-in-the-day return time for Slinky Dog Dash and were still able to secure 6 other Lightning Lanes that day in addition to waiting in two standby queues and having two table service meals all before catching Fantasmic! from the front row. We were tired, but we had a blast!

I hope this was helpful, Jennifer, and that you have a practically perfect day ahead of you. If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to stop back by. I'm always happy to help!

    See ya real soon,
