Hi. Starting to book dinner reservations for our trip in April but have noticed a good bit are already booked up. Is there a way to be notified if earlier reservations become available for a restaurant that I favorited? Eating late with a tot is not fun.

Hi Marketta! April is such a fun time at Walt Disney World Resort - the weather is perfect, flowers are in bloom, and don't forget to check out all the fun over at the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival! (You can eat VERY well from the various festival food booths AND walk out that toddler energy at the same time.)

Dining reservations are allowed to be made up to 180 days in advance of the first day of your Walt Disney World Vacation, so for April guests have been booking tables since October-ish. Currently there is no way to be notified if and when something opens up at specific restaurants or dining locations, but things do change all the time, especially as technology improves.

Keep checking back, and check back often. Tables open up all the time as plans change. My favorite method of checking is through the My Disney Experience App, which can be done from anywhere: while walking the dog, standing in line at the bank, even while you're in the parks enjoying your vacation.

As a toddler mom of the family who often travels under a months notice, I can vouch that you can still have amazing meals without reservations. Some quick service restaurants even serve the same menu items as their sit down counter parts. Check out the Yorkshire County Fish Shop in Epcot (same as Rose and Crown), Yak and Yeti Local Food Cafe (same as the Yak and Yeti sit down location), Kona Cafe's famous Tonga Toast can be found around the corner at Capt. Cooks, and you can even get some to most menu items to-go from any and all locations.

Keep checking, Marketta, and I hope some Pixie Dust falls on your dining plans soon!
