I have started planning a WDW trip for next summer for my two princesses and our Fairy Grandmother. I spoke, over the phone, with a WDTC Agent and she mentioned a quick service dining card that would discount the prices of our meals. Can you elaborate?

    Hi Sarah!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! 2019 is going to be a wonderful year to visit Walt Disney World Resort with your royal entourage. I'm so excited to help you plan your visit!

Guests of a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel have the option to buy into a Disney Dining Plan, where for one price each member of your family will receive so many meal and snack entitlements to use as they wish at almost every restaurant at Walt Disney World Resort. This is a really popular plan for so many guests because it can be lumped into your initial vacation package, and some guests like the feeling of being able to select anything they want to eat without having to think about menu price math. There are currently three plans available, one that is valid for only Quick-Service Dining locations, and two that are a mix of both Quick-Service dining and Table-Service options.

Quick-Service Dining Cards are an option for guests who are staying at hotels that aren't necessarily owned or built by Disney, but are considered to be 'Good Neighbor Hotels'. These Quick-Service Dining Cards have more value loaded to them than what you initially paid. (Example: you get a $40 dining card for $25.) The really neat thing is these dining cards are used like a regular gift card where you get to keep the difference to use on another meal or snack. And actually some of my favorite Disney dining locations are Quick-Service spots, like Columbia Harbor House in Magic Kingdom Park and Les Halles Boulangerie & Patisserie in the France Pavilion of Epcot's World Showcase.

I hope this helped, Sarah, and We'll See You in 2019!
