Welcome to planDisney, friend! I am so excited to hear that you are researching pin trading at The Most Magical Place on Earth. This is one of my Ohana's favorite activities at Walt Disney World Resort. It has become a tradition to bring a variety of pins with us on each trip to trade for new character favorites or add to a series we might be working on over the years. My son currently has an impressive Stitch collection that he adds to on each visit.
The rules for pin trading are simple and stress-free! The pin needs to be an
Official Disney Trading Pin. That's it! Official pins have a Mickey backstamp and may have a rubber Mickey pinback. When in doubt, I recommend showing your pin to a Cast Member to confirm. And I have great news, pins do not need to be new to be traded! You can trade pins you have cherished for years, or pins you purchased just before your arrival. shopDisney has an
extensive selection of pins you can order to bring on your adventure for additional training opportunities.
You can
trade pins with Cast Members in almost every merchandise location and resort hotel. Once you start trading, you will be surprised at how frequently you see pin trading boards. They are one of those things that you may not notice until you start, and just like magic, they're everywhere! Thre are also a
variety of locations that sell a huge assortment of trading pins so you can add to your collection before heading home. I must caution you, that once you start pin trading you may find it hard to stop!. This activity is truly so much fun. Checking pinboards throughout the parks for your favorite new addition can add a new level of excitement to your day. There is even a pin trading event happening during your stay,
Disney One Family Pin Celebration that will take place at EPCOT. This event is all about celebrating families and the love of pin trading. There will even be limited edition pins available only at this event.
