We would like to start planning a trip in the next year or two for a large group...our whole family, but on a budget. Which Disney Resort is best for family of 14-16 & what time of year?

Hello there, Angela welcome to planDisney. Thanks for trusting us to help with some recommendations for your big family.

I would like to start by saying you are a brave soul starting this process for your group. There will be questions galore while planning and if you need help we are always here for planning tips and park must-do attractions and experiences.

I love a good deal so you have the right panelist for the job. If you are planning on a budget the Walt Disney World Resort has accommodations to fit every wallet. The Value Resorts that are in the Disney Resorts Collection are going to be your most budget-friendly and Disney’s All-Star Music Resort is one I would like to recommend because they have Family Suites that sleep 6 guests. But when it comes to the most convenient location you may want to check out Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. Besides also having the Family Suites, this resort is on the Disney Skyliner route. This mode of transportation is a gondola system that will give you direct access to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. If anyone has furry friends this resort also has accommodations for your pooch. This resort also boasts the biggest pool in the Walt Disney World Resort. The Big Blue Pool is themed after one of the new classics. The “Finding Nemo” motif makes you feel like you are swimming in the EAC with Crush, Dory, and Marlin.

When it comes to what time of the year is the best to visit. My personal opinion is the fall and winter. This also could coincide with running away from the dropping temperatures of the northeast. This time also historically has lower crowd levels in the winter months to start the year. My first place to look when starting to book my stay is the Special Offers page. This is where you can check to see if any special promotions are available to potentially save you hundreds of dollars. The good news is if you make reservations without seeing a special offer that fits your dates but you see one afterward that fits your dates simply call for assistance and someone will be able to help change your pricing to reflect the current promotion.

I hope this information proves helpful in booking this family visit. If you have other questions leading up to your stay feel free to drop us a line at planDisney.com.

    See ya real soon,

    Jeremy A.
