When can I start planning a trip for January 2022?

    Hi Janessa,

I'm thrilled to hear that you're dreaming of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation for 2022! When should you start planning? There's no time like the present!

To me, planning a Disney vacation is a big part of the fun, so I'd start researching now! I'd curl up with a warm cup of cocoa - or your beverage of choice - and pour through Disney's website looking at all of the incredibly immersive Resort hotels, learning about all of the imaginative lands and attractions at the theme parks, and even dreaming about all of the delicious foods. The more familiar you become with all that's available, the more personalized your trip will become and the more familiar you'll be with everything once that magical day arrives and your trip is here!

Now as far as actually being able to book anything? Well, room-only reservations may be made up to 499 days in advance, so feel free to contact a Cast Member for help with going that route. Vacation packages, which include theme park tickets, are usually released mid-summer of the year prior to travel, so I'd keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog hopefully sometime mid-June for an announcement regarding 2022 booking availability.

In the meantime, please feel free to let us know if you need help with any aspect of planning your dream Disney getaway. We are all planners at heart and are thrilled to dream along with you. Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney, Janessa, and have a BLAST planning!
