I want to start planning a trip for a family of 5 and need the whole stay for a week

Hey Howdy Hey Camille and welcome to planDisney!

Celebrating the Merriest time of the year in the Most Magical Place on Earth takes the holiday spirit to the next level. Disney does such a great job going all out for this celebration in the parks, resorts and the Disney Springs shopping district. I am happy to hear you are getting your plans together for a trip with memories that will truly last a lifetime!

When planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort, there are so many things to remember, but during a festive season such as the holidays, you have so much more! There are many unique ways to celebrate such as Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party in Magic Kingdom, so many unique experiences at the resorts and even a possible cookie stroll through Disney Springs looking at all the well-decorated trees they have along the way! My biggest advice, if you are just starting this process, is to seek out the expertise of a travel agent. A simple internet search of "Authorized Disney Vacation Planner" will give you many options or just asking a few friends or family members that may have visited recently might as well. Disney gives its seal of approval to all agencies specializing in trips with Disney with their classic EAR marked designation you will see on the home page of their sites.

With most of these agencies, there are no fees associated with working with them and does not cost you anything extra! So much expertise in navigating a trip to Disney World during a busy time of the year without any added cost to you! They are also specialized in working with families of 5 or more so you know which rooms will give you enough space for everyone!

You are also more than able to plan this full trip on your own. There is a page on the Walt Disney World site dedicated to planning tools for those wanting to know more about planning a trip. This is a good place to start as it will navigate you through some steps such as selecting a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, theme park tickets and so much more! If you are looking at resorts, check out most of the Moderate Level Resorts as they will have a 5th sleeper option which allows for affordability and enough space for everyone. In the Value Level, there are several locations such as Disney's Art of Animation Resort with Family Suites that will also give you the option of more space for everyone.

As you begin this process, don't forget you're new found 'Ohana here at planDisney! If you have any questions about this process, please feel free to reach out and let us know, we would be happy to help!

    Happy planning!
