I want to start planning for next year cruise for my grandkids. Do you have a payment plan?

    Hey there, hi there, Brenda!

"You're as welcome as can be!" Thanks for visiting us at planDisney. And thanks for submitting such a great question. I love cruising with Disney. I love it even more when I can reasonably budget our vacation travel. That way, I can plan for cruising even more often!

Even better than a fixed payment plan, the Disney Cruise Line allows for flexible payments at your own pace. After you book your cruise, you pay a deposit of as little as 10% of the total fare. Then, you have the flexibility to pay any amounts at any time up until the full balance is due. Final payment is usually due 90 days or 120 days before your cruise embarkation day, depending on the length of the cruise and stateroom category.

To make budgeting even easier, I like to prepare for a cruise deposit in advance by collecting Disney Gift Cards, which I usually purchase at a discount from participating warehouse clubs or other retailers. When I have enough cards collected, I consolidate their values using the Disney Gift Card website and use them to pay the deposit for our Disney cruise. For paying the remaining balance, I usually either use more Disney Gift Cards or my Disney Visa Credit Card, which offers special financing on Disney cruises as well as other savings while sailing with Disney Cruise Line.

After you set sail on your Disney cruise vacation, additional charges for Port Adventures, gratuities, meals in the adult-only restaurants, souvenirs, and select items purchased in the dining rooms and lounges are added to your onboard account. Most Guests choose to have those charges paid by the credit card on file for their account. But I usually like to pay our onboard account balance with Disney Gift Cards.

I hope that helps with your planning for an amazing adventure aboard the Disney Cruise Line, Brenda. If you have any more Disney cruise planning questions, please visit us again at planDisney.

    Happy sailing, Brenda!
    ~Tony
