When can i start planning for items other than my hotel

    Hi Kristin,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for stopping by with your fantastic question about planning your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.  It looks like you are visiting next March, how exciting!  March has always been one of my favorite times to visit Walt Disney World Resort, coming from our cold winters, the fresh Florida weather in March is certainly a treat!

Since you already have your Disney Resorts Collection hotel room booked, I do suggest purchasing your Theme Park Tickets if you haven't already done so.  March can be a busy time of year to visit, and you will want to make sure you have Theme Park Reservations for every day you wish to enter into a Theme Park, to avoid disappointment.

Once those two big ticket items have been taken care of, all you need to do is wait for the 60 day mark when Advanced Dining Reservations open for guests to book.  Since you still have time, take a look at which Theme Park you will be visiting each day and choose a dining location that is either in the Theme Park, or close to avoid unnecessary travel time.  If you do not wish to make an Advanced Dining Reservation, I still like to look around and see all of the Quick-Serve Dining locations close to where I will be.  If you have a picky eater in your group, it is especially important so you don't waste time looking for something to eat.  You can even Mobile-Order your meals using the My Disney Experience App!  If you are planning to book a magical experience for your group during your visit from the Enchanting Extras Collection, double check the booking windows directly on each experience, as they differ from experience to experience.

I also suggest booking your transportation to and from the Orlando International Airport if you plan on using a service other than your favorite ride-share program.  Mears Connect is replacing Disney's Magical Express Service, and is available for pre-booking at an additional charge.  This can be done anytime, but I do suggest not leaving it until the last minute, for me I like to book as soon as I have my Walt Disney World Resort Vacation Package and flights booked.

Finally, if you are planning on purchasing Disney Memory Maker this needs to be done at least 3 days prior to first use to qualify for the advanced purchase price.  If you are like me and LOVE photos, Disney Memory Maker is a must.

While you are waiting to visit the "Most Magical Place on Earth", I highly recommend reading about the new service that is being offered for guests called Disney Genie and Disney Genie+ service.  Beginning December 19, guests will be able to use the complimentary Disney Genie service and modify existing Theme Park Tickets to include Disney Genie+ service, if desired.

I hope this information was helpful, Kristin.  If you have any other questions, please come back to planDisney we are always happy to assist.
