Hi! I want to start planning a Disney vacation for my family of 4 for next March (2022). My question is can I book the tickets and hotel and add the dining plan later if it is available again? Also, can I put down a deposit and pay on it monthly?

Hello, Erin and welcome to planDisney where we are thrilled to have you “be our guest!”

Erin, planning ahead for your vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort is the best way to ensure that you’ll have a visit even more Magical than Beast’s enchanted rose, so let’s talk about vacation packages!
First, I’m happy to report that February and March 2022 are open for booking NOW! In order to see prices and availability of resorts, you’ll want to start HERE and then input your desired dates. At the time of booking a vacation package (that will include your Disney Resorts Collection hotel and theme park tickets) you will need to put down a deposit of $200. You are then welcome to pay on your reservation over time. Please see THIS question and answer about paying for your vacation package.

Now, Erin, one of the reasons I keep returning to the Walt Disney World Resort year after yEAR is the FOOD! My family and I love all of the different dining options. From iconic snacks to signature dining experiences, there really is something for every taste and budget. You are correct that the Disney Dining Plan is on pause as part of the phased reopening. Should this service return, you would have the option to add it to any existing vacation package. I recommend keeping a close watch on the Disney Parks Blog for more information as pixie dusted announcements tend to pop up there first.

Erin, I hope this information is helpful as you’re dreaming about a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. If you need recommendations for a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, information about park touring or any other details, I hope you’ll come back and see your new friends here at planDisney. We would be more excited than Lumiere serving cheese soufflé to answer any additional questions!
