How do you start to plan a trip to Disneyworld? Where do you start?

    Hi, there!

Welcome to planDisney, Joyce. I'm so glad you sent me these questions! It's my pleasure to help you plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

Planning any kind of vacation can be a bit overwhelming. What I love about planning a Disney vacation is that the vacation planning process can be really easy AND fun!

I recommend checking out Walt Disney World Vacation Packages online. I think booking a vacation package is the most convenient and manageable way to plan your visit! Start by exploring the Disney Resorts Collection. When you stay at a Disney Resort hotel, you stay IN the magic, even after you've left the theme parks! Once you've found a hotel that's a good fit for your travel party's unique needs, interests, and budget, add it to your online cart on the Walt Disney World Resort website. You'll then have the opportunity to select a Theme Park Ticket package. My family likes to purchase a 5-day ticket package for our 7-day vacations. This builds some much-needed downtime into our vacation, which we use to enjoy the amenities and recreation offered at our Disney Resort hotel! After you've selected a ticket package, you'll be directed to your check-out page. There you can add up to two additional offers and compare them side by side. This comparison feature helps my family choose the right package for our next stay. When you've found the perfect package, go ahead and book your vacation! You need only pay a deposit with the balance due just 30-days prior to your arrival.

The next step in the planning process is to link your vacation package to your My Disney Experience account. My Disney Experience is the handy tool you'll use to manage your vacation plans! With My Disney Experience, you can schedule Theme Park Reservations, make and modify dining reservations, create daily itineraries, and more.

If this feels at all overwhelming to you, I encourage you to call the Disney Call Center at (407) WDISNEY or (407) 934-7639. A friendly Cast Member there will be happy to help you get your Disney vacation booked!

I hope this was helpful, Joyce. Please visit us again soon with any new questions you may have about visiting the Walt Disney World Resort!
