how do i start a payment plan for a disney vacation.

Welcome to planDisney, Donna! I’m so excited you’re hEAR planning a Magical vacation.

Donna, as soon as I start dreaming about the Walt Disney World, I also start budgeting, so I appreciate this question. The first step in setting up a payment plan is also the most fun… booking your vacation

When you book a vacation package (your Disney Resorts Collection hotel and theme park tickets bundled together) you will need to make an initial deposit of $200 and then you’re able to pay the balance over time. Donna, if you don’t yet have a My Disney Experience account, you’ll want to set that up prior to booking. Through this account you’ll be able to manage your plans and as your trip gets closer, make advanced dining reservations.

Donna, I hope this information is useful as you’re making preparations for the Most Magical Place on Earth. Now, before I wish you well, let me also share another budgeting tip that has worked well for my family: Disney Gift Cards! My husband and I like to purchase Disney Gift Cards in the months leading up to our trip anytime we run to our local store as these can be used to pay for food, merchandise and your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Disney Gift Cards can be consolidated online up to $1,000 per card and have helped me feel like we have prepaid for our trip!

Best wishes, Donna, as you continue your planning journey. If you need any recommendations for a hotel in the Disney Resorts Collection or have other questions, make sure to come back to planDisney where we are more excited to see a returning guest than Chip-n-Dale are to see a stash of acorns!

Greetings from central Pennsylvania! Hi, I’m Lauren and I can’t wait to answer all of your Walt Disney World Resort and Disney Vacation Club questions. My husband and I became Disney Vacation Club Members because we love visiting the Disney Parks and with hectic day-to-day schedules, wanted to prioritize time away for our family. The options at the Walt Disney World Resort make each trip unique and I am excited to help other families build vacations with those unforgettable moments.
