How do I start a payment plan through Disney?

Hey howdy hey Kehau and welcome to planDisney!

I am super excited that you are thinking ahead about your trip to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth in January of 2023. Making sure you have everything either paid off or accounted for is one of those added bonuses of a vacation that if you can get it all done before leaving, it is so much more enjoyable to not have that bill on your to-do list. Let's look to see how we can help you get your payments rolling.

The first thing with planning your trip this far in advance, Disney does let you book hotel accommodations up to 499 days prior to your date of arrival. These are usually room-only hotel bookings as the packages with tickets and such are not released until early summer for the following year. So we still have time before the packages for your date of travel are released. With these room-only bookings, you are required to put a deposit down equivalent to the first-night stay plus tax. The rest of the bill is due on the date of arrival, usually at check-in. Unfortunately, there is no way to make payments on the room-only option.

Now when Disney releases the vacation packages and you transfer your room-only reservation to a package, you are able to make payments as you see fit. With vacation packages from Disney, you are required to make a deposit of $200.00 and the final payment is due 30 days prior to your date of arrival. If you wanted to, you could pay on a monthly basis, or as frequently as you wanted, towards your vacation package. You simply log onto your My Disney Experience account, look under "Hotel Reservations" and once you click on it, you should see a "Make a Payment" option. You will be able to pay down your total bill with the final payment due 30 days prior to your arrival.

Well, it sounds like you have the hard part of finding the right resort to stay at out of the way, now you can get super excited about planning which parks to visit on which days and what attractions are on the "must-do" list. I hope you have a super fun time planning your trip and we cannot wait to welcome you to the Magic!

    Happy planning,
