Does the 0% start over with each payment made towards the cruise?

    Hey there, hi there, Erica!

If I understand you correctly, you are a Disney Visa Cardmember like me. With all of the Disney Cruise Line voyages my family and I have taken lately, the special financing promotion for Cardmembers has come in handy for us!

I'd be happy to share with you my experience with using my Disney Visa Credit Card in recent months. I recommend confirming the terms and conditions that apply specifically to your Cardmember agreement as well. We found that each payment toward our Disney Cruise Line vacations is independently classified for qualified promotional financing on our Disney Rewards statements from Chase. They each start a separate promotional period. Minimum monthly payments are adjusted according to our total account balance. Each of the separate qualified promotional financing balances is automatically paid off in order starting with the oldest.

For example, when we were on the Disney Magic last summer, we paid a deposit for an onboard placeholder booking. Three weeks later, we converted that placeholder to a booking for a cruise on the Disney Wonder next Spring, including an additional deposit based on the actual cruise fare. Those two payments started independent promotional financing with separate timelines for payment with 0% interest periods. We finished paying those deposits a few months ago. Our final payment for that cruise will be due later this Summer. We plan to use our Disney Visa Card for that payment as well, which will start new qualified promotional financing with a separate timeline of its own. Of course, mixed in with those sailings on the Magic and Wonder, we also enjoyed a New Year's Eve voyage aboard the Disney Fantasy. Last Summer, we used our Disney Visa Card to make our final payment for that cruise and finished paying it off within the promotional period earlier this year.

It is a great benefit to use our Disney Visa Card to spread out the financial side of planning a Disney cruise or Disney Parks Vacation Package. I love the flexibility and convenience of it all. It's also a great bonus to have those Disney Rewards Dollars available to deposit on a Disney Rewards Redemption Card. You may use your redemption card to make payments toward your onboard account, including charges for spa and salon treatments, Port Adventures, gratuities, and my favorite: specialty drinks of the day.

I hope you have a magical cruise, Erica. I hope you'll reach out to us at planDisney again if you have any more questions.

    Bon voyage!
    ~Tony
