    Can the start date of a Disney ticket be changed to a future date? And how far into the future?

    Hi Carla! Welcome to planDisney, and thanks so much for stopping by to see us with your question! I hope your visit means you’ll soon be visiting Walt Disney World! Now more than ever, it is essential to remain flexible in your travel plans. Luckily, Walt Disney World has always made it easy to do just this and now is no exception.

    Once you purchase your Tickets and these are linked to your My Disney Experience Account, you will then be able to access them within your “My Plans” page while logged into your My Disney Experience Account. From there, navigate to the Tickets you wish to change and click the hyperlink labeled “Change Ticket” that you will find immediately below the Ticket description. From there, you will be able to change the start date of your Tickets at any point up until midnight ET on the night before your Ticket’s first use date. However, if your Tickets go unused, their original value can be applied to the purchase of future Tickets at any point in time. Ticket changes are subject to availability and may be subject to additional fees on specific dates. Still, these fees are available right from the Disney world website and are often minimal. At this time, Tickets purchased this month can be modified to dates as far out as December of 2022!
