When can we start booking a Disney Cruise?

    Ahoy Ginger!

Welcome to planDisney! Having you here makes us all so happy because it means you are thinking about taking a Disney cruise. And cruising with Captain Mickey is quite possibly one of my favorite travel experiences. I wish nothing less for you and your family as you plan to take a journey on the Disney Dream

If you are wanting to make a reservation, there’s no better time to start than TODAY! Sailings are currently available for booking through May 2022, and there’s quite the selection of fabulous itineraries. However, since you mentioned June 2021, my guess is that you are really asking about if you book it for those dates, will Disney Cruise Line be sailing then? I am remaining very hopeful that we will see Captain Mickey return to the helm very soon, but I have no idea when that date will actually happen.

My suggestion: it doesn’t hurt anything to make reservations for 2021, stay hopeful, and remain flexible if things change. At the very least, if there is a cancellation made to your booking, you can simply choose another date. Disney Cruise Line also has what is called the Book with Confidence program. With extended final payments, a new cancellation fee schedule, cruise date flexibility, and a flexible refund policy, the new Disney Cruise Line protocols have Guests’ best interests in mind while also encouraging Guests to make their travel plans knowing that they have a great deal of control over their travel plans.

Having cruise date flexibility means Guests who book their cruises before April 30, 2021 for sailings on or before September 20, 2021 can move their sail date up to 15 days prior to departure. What this means is that Captain Mickey will allow you to change your vacation date to one in the future without losing your deposit or incurring additional fees if you do so at least 15 days before your reservation.

So I hope this gives you all the assurances that you can make reservations for a date that works best for you. Should plans need to be changed, there is more flexibility now than ever. I do wish you the best of luck as you select a voyage and embark on a DREAMy cruise.

    Happy Sailing!
