Hi Pat,
Welcome back to planDisney! It's always great to hear from a fellow Walt Disney World-loving Floridian.
I can't wait for you to experience the new
Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away parade. I've seen it twice, both times from in front of
Pecos Bill in Frontierland, and it is spectacular. It's so wonderful to have a nighttime parade back at Magic Kingdom.
The parade normally is presented twice each night, usually at 8:15 or 8:30 and again at around 10:30 pm. I would expect that to be the case when you visit in May, though the schedule is not yet posted and is subject to change. The exact times tend to be released about three or four weeks in advance, so you should be able to see them well before you arrive.
You'll find the Starlight parade times on the
Walt Disney World website and in the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. In fact, while you are at Walt Disney World, the app is the best way to keep track of all showtimes, wait times, dining reservations and other schedules. It's all at your fingertips!
Once you know what time you want to watch the Starlight parade, Pat, I'd grab a bucket of popcorn, a Mickey ice cream bar or a Dole Whip and find a cozy viewing spot between Main Street USA and Frontierland. And prepare to be dazzled!
Enjoy,
Wilma
