Star Wars weekend question. Is there a parade? If so what time is it at?

    Hi Matthew ~

I LOVE Star Wars Weekends (SWW) and I'm super excited about this year! I am over the Death Star (well if it had not been destroyed) excited to see Mark Hamill during SWW IV!

There is indeed a parade! The Legends of the Force: Star Wars Celebrity Motorcade features Jedi Mickey, Star Wars characters, James Arnold Taylor (Celebrity Host for the 2014 SWW), and the Celebrity Guests for that weekend. The Star Wars Celebrity Motorcade begins near the Disney Hollywood Studios (DHS) entrance and makes its way down Hollywood Blvd. to the SWW Event Stage (in front of the Sorcerer's Hat) and is followed by a celebrity welcome.

A schedule of events for the 2014 SWW has not yet been released. For the 2013 SWW, the Legends of the Force: Star Wars Celebrity Motorcade began at 11:00 a.m. with the Celebrity Welcome at 11:15 a.m. That could change this year. Hopefully we will know more details soon. Be sure to confirm times in the special SWW Event Guides that will be available at the DHS entrance.

It seems that Disney is changing things up a bit this year so stay tuned to Disney Parks Blog for new information to be released and the event website DisneyTheForce.com. If you are on twitter be sure to follow #DisneyTheForce.

New for 2014, Star Wars character dining experiences! The Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant will host a Galactic Star Wars character breakfast including Darth Vader, Stormtroopers, Jawa, Greedo and Boba Fett. Hollywood & Vine will feature Jedi-Mickey and his friends dressed as Star Wars characters for dinner. These will be held May 4 - June 15, 2014 even on non-SWW dates. Call 407-WDW-DINE for reservations.

Please feel free to visit us with all of your planning questions. We are hEAR to help!

May the force be with you :-) Allison V.
