Is Star Wars: A Galaxy Far Far Away the stage show the follows the March of the New Order or is it something different held in a separate location?

    Hi Tina,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. We recently celebrated my son’s birthday with an epic, Star Wars-tastic day including everything Star Wars that can be done in Disney's Hollywood Studios. Jedi Training, a Wookiee hug, and all the Star Wars desserts we could shove in our faces? It was truly spectacular.

You are not the only Guest to be confused about the difference between March of the First Order and Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away, because they feature overlapping characters and share a stage. When you enter the park, be sure to pick up a Times Guide so you know exactly when to see both shows. While many Guests like to watch the shows in succession, my family always catches them separately.

For March of the First Order, you'll hear loud, ominous music announcing Captain Phasma’s impending arrival with her legion of First Order Stormtroopers. They march to the stage area right in front of Grauman’s Chinese Theater, where Phasma puts her Stormtroopers through a short show of their might before leading them away.

Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away is a stage show featuring many beloved Star Wars characters, who take to the stage to perform for a few minutes while iconic clips play in the background. I’ll admit that my family had walked past this show many times in the past but had never watched it from beginning to end – and when we finally did watch the whole thing, we were blown away. It can get quite hot in that stage area, so my advice is to grab a cold drink and some popcorn before claiming your spot for the show.

Tina, I hope you enjoy both epic shows!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
