Hi Christine! Welcome to planDisney!
I'm sure you are getting excited to trade in the Garden State for a voyage on the Halcyon starcruiser! From everything I have seen and heard about this adventure, you are bound to have an out-of-this-world experience.
Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser pulls you into an immersive storyline and allows you to be a part of the action. The interaction with the Cast Members during this experience is Walt Disney World at its finest!
Once you arrive for your journey to a galaxy far, far away, you will be met with a full itinerary for the duration of your stay. You'll enjoy a day trip to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and take a ride on the
Millennium Falcon. You'll eat some fantastically themed food and take part in once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Once you are ready to disembark the ship on your departure day, you will receive assistance from the Cast Members on board to get where you need to go.
Since you plan to visit
EPCOT before heading to the airport, I was able to confirm your best options on this day. As you mentioned the Galactic Starcruiser will not hold your luggage due to the capacity of the hotel, since every square inch was designed to be a part of the interactive experience. If you head to
Disney Springs upon departure from the hotel, you can leave your luggage at Guest Relations at Disney Springs. Make sure to check with a Cast Member that morning to schedule a drop-off to Disney Springs. They confirmed that they will cover the transportation to get your party to this destination, whether that be by a taxi or with a rideshare service.
Once your luggage is dropped off, hop on a bus to
Disney's Beach Club Resort and enter EPCOT from the International Gateway entrance. Buses do not run directly to the parks from Disney Springs, so you'll need to get creative in your approach. Once you finish your day at EPCOT, walk back over to the Beach Club Resort and hop on a bus back to Disney Springs. Once here, you'll need to schedule your own transportation to get to the airport.
Christine, I'm sure you are going to have a fantastic time aboard the Galactic Starcruiser. If I can give one piece of advice, it would be to participate in everything that you can during your stay. Your journey will be as fun as you allow it to be!
See ya real soon!
