At the All Star movie Resort the fridges, fridge do I need to request it and is there a charge? I have a medical condition which requires I drink 3 prepared protein shakes a day I get from Costco and I will use an ice pack for the park.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Amy!

I think you’re going to love staying at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort. My family stayed there last year, and we were enchanted by the larger-than-life figures from our favorite Disney movies all throughout the resort. I just adore Sorcerer Mickey in the Fantasia pool – he makes me smile every time!

Amy, dorm-sized refrigerators are standard in every Walt Disney World Resort hotel, so you will have one in your room at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort. If your protein shakes aren’t shelf stable, and you find you have more than you can fit in the refrigerator, you should be able to store the extras in the cold room at Bell Services. Any Cast Member at the resort will be able to help you to ensure your medical needs are met during your stay.

Since you mention bringing shakes into the theme parks with an ice pack during the day, I want to share that the room refrigerators do not have freezer sections. I suggest bringing resealable bags with you to fill with ice from your resort’s ice machine, which you can then put in a cooler with the drinks. Note that, per Walt Disney World Resort’s Park Rules, loose ice in coolers is not permitted, and you may want to consult the Park Rules to ensure your cooler is within the size limits.

Amy, if you’d like to speak with a Cast Member to ensure you’ll have everything you need to enjoy the magic without worrying about your health, I recommend calling Guest Relations at (407) 939-5277. They can answer any questions or help if you’d like to make a note on your reservation.

You are counting down the weeks until your stay at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort and your visit to Walt Disney World! As you count down the days and dream about all the fun you’re going to have, I recommend reading the Disney Parks Blog, as they share great planning tips and the latest news about new experiences and treats all around the theme parks, resorts, and Disney Springs. Please come back and see us here on the panel if we can help with any last-minute planning questions!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
