Welcome, space traveler! Thank you for journeying to the planDisney station. I'm happy to help you enjoy an out-of-this-world dining experience at the Walt Disney World Resort!
Phyllis, it seems the whole galaxy is seeing stars over the newest restaurant to hit the scene at
EPCOT. Now that
Space 220 is open to all life forms, I can't wait to try the
celestial menu myself! As you mentioned, since so many Guests are eager to visit Space 220, reservations for the dining room positioned 220 miles above the Earth's surface are quite hard to come by. At this time, Disney doesn't have a waiting list for those of us hoping to experience Space 220, so your best bet to try to land a reservation is to keep checking back. You never know when another Guest's plans may take them to a different spaceport!
Another option you can consider if reservations remain elusive is to try the Space 220 Lounge seating. I've seen reports that the lounge will continue to serve Guests on a walk-up basis after the restaurant goes to reservations-only later this week. Of course, that can always change so I'd check with a Cast Member when you enter EPCOT, but heading over first thing to see if you can get on the walk-up list may just allow you to board that elevator for an amazing journey into space.
I hope this helps you have a blast on your Walt Disney World vacation, Phyllis! It's been my pleasure chatting with you, and please come see us again if you have any more questions. When it comes to planning your trip, we're always here to help you "rocket"!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
