Aloha Ashley,
You have come to the right place to talk about all things Walt Disney World dining reservations. All of my trips are planned around what, how, and when I’m going to eat.
Let’s first take a note from my dear friends Timon and Pumba. If you are not seeing availability for Space 220 right now, Hakuna Matata!
Space 220 is one of Walt Disney World Resort’s newest dining extravaganzas, and it seems to be on everyone’s wish list (myself included). However, there is still time to get a table at the Centauri Space Station. Since I am an Annual Passholder, I often miss the window to book my dining reservations within the 60 days, but I’ve been able to snag many elusive dining reservations. I’m happy to share some of my tips and tricks with you.
My first tip is using the
Walk-Up Waitlist for Space 220 on the
My Disney Experience app. In order to use this:
1. Open the app and search for Space 220.
2. Click on “Check Dining Availability” and input the size of your dining party.
3. Select the date, and for the “Search by Time,” select “Now.” This should show you the estimated wait time for a table at Space 220 that day and allow you to add yourself to the standby list.
Once your table is ready, you will be able to head to the host stand. The standby list can fill up pretty quickly, so this is typically my second option.
My favorite tip for securing hard-to-get dining reservations is to keep an eye out for changing plans. Check the My Disney Experience app in the weeks leading up to your February visit several times a day. Since Guests must cancel their reservations to avoid a cancellation fee, you are likely to spy a Space 220 reservation as plans shift. I’ve had a lot of success with this approach and remember, “All it takes is faith, trust, and pixie dust.”
I hope you can experience the out-of-this-world dining at Space 220 on your upcoming trip.
Let us know if there is anything else we can help you with!
